Recommended engines for K20

Hi there,

I just happened to buy a K20 via ebay-Germany at a fairly reasonable price, I hope - actually, I haven't even seen it yet, as it is still on its trailer in the last owners yard. But I do know it has a well, but no engine so far. So, can anyone give me a hint on what kind of outboard engine would suit her best? I will be sailing tidal waters (Elbe / German Bay) with sometimes heavy currents.

Hi Wolfgang, I seem to remember when the K20 was originally sold they used a 6HP Johnson motor though most owners these days seem to prefer four stroke japanese units, sorry I cannot be more help.
