Otter looking for a new home - free...

Post by Jacksoncohen »

I have an Otter in North Norfolk that is in need of a new home. It is Bermudan rigged, ali mast, with spinnaker. It's sails have the number 1200 on them but I have no idea if that it authentic. The hull is all fibreglass and is sound with no leaks. It sails fine and has a launch trolley but no road trolley. Let me know if anyone is interested in giving it a new home.

Oh yes, I'd be very interested. I don't know much about Otters but I've been looking for an older sit-in dinghy of about 12 feet, and someone recommended an Otter. I did a Google search and saw your post!

Did you find it a new home?

I am the proud new owner of Otter #1200, 'Arwen'. Very pleased with her. Just the kind of boat I was looking for. I only managed to sail her once at the end of last season, but she sails well. Very light and responsive. I'm currently renewing various bits of her rigging, and I'm looking forward to sailing her more this year.
