523 went sailing

Post by fossil »

A chum from work used to be in the sea scouts some years ago and said he would show me the ropes. He is a member of the Tipnor Angling and boat club and we could launch from there the wind was 7-9 mph this evening which was good for my First sailing experience .
Craig had the helm for the first hour then I said MY turn  , I did have some worrying moment when changing direction ( it looked like we might tip in , but we didn't :D ).
Great fun :D :D :D :D :D

Cant wait to have another go .

P.S, I did boom myself as I was going back to the slipway  lucky the wind was not to strong !

Hello, Practice makes perfect. Don’t try to teach yourself all the sailing basics. Invest in a good sailing course, research guides and books, and learn from friends with experience., Cheers !
