Seasons Greetings

I'm still enjoying my Otter on Coniston Water where she doubles as a sailing safety boat while my son is out on his Topper - stable boats Otters! She's out for the winter now though. A friend of mine at Coniston Sailing Club came up with a neat solution to this which worked a treat on his son's Topper. Two kids swimming armbands slipped over the top of the mast and inflated. His sone could walk on the mast without it turning turtle.

Mine is otter number 1128 now called Top Banana (very yellow boat!)
Maker is Chris Clarance Marine
Construction is fibreglass, aluminium masted bermudan rig with aft main rigging.
Lovely boat, well pleased with her.

Picked up an Otter today, sail number 1128 and am looking forward to sailing it this week sometime for the first time. The previous owner took me through rigging it before I set off this afternoon and I'm pretty sure that yours has been modified to a centre main, rather than aft main as original. It...
