Re: Otter 530 Mast
Hi Dick, I guess broken down it is about 9 feet long? Do you think I would get away with carrying it on a train? Whatever means of collection, I am interested. I may be able to collect myself by car or get someone passing to collect it for me. Can you send me an email address via my earlier posting ...

Re: Otter 530 Spare Mast
Hi Albacore43... I would be interested in the mast. I have 465 which has a one piece proctor mast; a split one would make life much simpler when trailing. Where are you? You can email me on Southern377@aol.com as I don't think the pm facility here works. 465's rudder looks much the same as pictured ...

Re: Mast and Boom Spares
Otter 465.
The boxes were removed by drilling out the rivets and then sent to Allspars in Plymouth. Have now been returned fitted with new sheaves. Will refit the boxes to the mast on Monday. Cost just under £30.00 and returned in less then a week.

Re: Centreboard.
Otter 465 The offending overlap of repair blocking the centreboard slot has now been romoved by hacksaw blade and file and the board now works but..... I now need to refit a brake, any suggestions better than an old piece of hosepipe squashed (adjusted) by two self tapping screws? She sailed nicely ...

Re: Mast and Boom Spares
Otter 465 I have the Proctor order numbers for the mast and boom being 040303 for the mast and 040304 for the boom. Unfortunately Seldons who took over Proctors do not have Proctors sales records. I am going to remove the sheave box at the mast head, replace with a temporary swivel block and send th...

Re: Centreboard.
Otter 465 Have finally worked out why the board was in such a state. When the bottom of the hull was repaired/strengthened after sailing off the beach at Angmering the repair has narrowed the width of the slot. Returning in the morning armed with hacksaw, files and sandpaper to ease the situation. P...

Re: Centreboard.
The centreboard is now out of 465. Quite badly scored at the top - think it is from the front of the slot. The board is 15mm thick but the gap between the arms of the stirrups is wider. Should the board be wider - then will it sit in the slot okay? or is there something else missing: spacers or wash...

Mast and Boom Spares
Otter 465 I have a one piece alloy mast (Bermudan Rig) from which the Proctor Identification plate is missing (just the rivet heads left!) Does anyone else have the same mast they could check the specification on? The shreeves (think that's what they are called) need changing as they have jammed and...

Re: Otter main
HI Bill, I too have a Mirror jib spare and will be trying it at some stage. I guess your rig is Bermudan? I was also looking at what might fit and think these may be worth a look. Gull. Cadet. Heron. Graduate? or the later Mirror bermudan sail but I doubt there are many about. There is a set of cade...

Centreboard.
Hi. Now the keeper of Otter 465. The centreboard was jammed in the case but much squirting of Teflon lube has got it moving again but it is de-laminating along the top edge. Has any one got experience of lifting the board out. I understand it is stirrup mounted. Can you extract it from the top? In a...
